Ceylonese Traditional Grain vase, pot of plenty known as "Punkalasa" is an exotically beautiful art of prosperity. I have used different flowers and floral art with the grain vase instead of coconut flower. This art symbolizes prosperity and wealth. This pot of plenty (Punkalsa) was used as a must have decoration or a folk art form (mostly done with coconut leaves) in native weddings and celebrations. I adopted the traditional "pot of plenty" into this carving and redesigned this carving in a manner which wouldn't depreciate the value of traditional Sri Lankan art. This is the FIRST and ONLY carving of this design and can be used as a gift for housewarming parties and weddings. The border frame is carved out of the same Haldu wood (Kolon) piece and the border is designed in a unique manner as well. I have only used traditional Hand carving tools to design this. Thickness of this wood carving is 2.8CM
