Horse represents power and freedom. In some cultures it’s balanced wisdom and power. This is widely known as a symbol of freedom without restraint as horse riding made people feel that they are freeing themselves from their bindings. This is also a symbol of travel , movement and desire. Among Native American tribes horses were an icon of wealth. Horse is often an emblem of war. Romans identified horses with Mars, the god of the fury of war. Horses were known as good luck and harbingers of good fortune in Celtic culture. I have designed and hand carved this horse carving inspired by the elegance and triumph of horse. I have carved out the wood so the horse can be embossed out. Traditional hand carving tools were used to carve the horse out of the wood. Material that I have used for this carving is Haldu(kolon) wood and the thickness of this carving is 2.5CM.
