Completed on a 24×36" canvas with detailed textures such as corrugated board, sandpaper, and textured background of the painting is a depiction of chaos, stress, and everything that keeps on repeating as so-called life lessons. The hidden bases of torn newspapers that fill up with either word of wisdom or nonsense is a background that's supposed to represent harsh words and decisions one must take or choose to ignore to understand and move on in life. Supported with different blends of acrylic paint, ink markers, charcoal, and spray paint is another layer of coffee that represents the caffeine one consumes for temporary recharge and happiness. Torn represents what we most majority of our lifetime. Stuck in the present, wanting our own versions of fantasies but losing our childlike hope & happiness in the process. The disfigured face that's completed in modeling clay and includes hints of green acrylic paint depicts a lack of life & Stagnation. The naked body and monochromatic elements represent the vulnerability of our minds and feelings of loneliness. However, no matter how hard things get, this painting is also supposed to remind us that we are only human and that it's okay not to be okay always. That there is a light at the end of the tunnel in this road of life. Painting is supported at the back with a frame enabling it to be hung easily.
